-Mouthbreather, written by & starring Emily, featuring Marc Valera (Melrose Place, CSI), and directed by Rules of Engagement/How I Met Your Mother writer/producer Gloria Calderon-Kellett, has been officially selected to premiere at the renowned Newport Beach Film Festival as well as the Los Angeles Asian American Film Festival! The Lid has changed its name to Cruel Will and is premiering very soon! Shanghai Hotel, in which Emily plays the young version of Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon‘s Cheng Pei Pei, won the Best Film Award at the BronzeLens Film Festival in Atlanta. Emily was interviewed about both projects, as well as nightdreamblues, here and here.

Emily booked a national commercial for Time Warner Cable. She also booked and shot the short film, “One Mistake,” as part of the 48 Hour Film Project – San Diego. One Mistake won the Audience Choice Award and went onto the finals “Best Of” night in SD, where Emily won the award for Best Actress!
Emily recently booked a co-star on 90210, fulfilling her 5th grade dreams of being closer to Dylan McKay.
She also booked the role of Bonnie in the upcoming ensemble feature film, Nightdreamblues, produced by 408 films.

The Conley Brothers’ indie feature film, Colin Hearts Kay, starring Emily as title character Kay, won the Audience Award & Best Editing Award at the Brooklyn International Film Festival. All 3 screenings were sold out. It also won the Jury Award for Best Narrative Feature & the Audience Award at the New York United Film Fest. Congrats to the cast/crew!
Emily just got back to LA from the 53rd Annual New York Emmy Awards Gala, where she and her team won an Emmy® Award in Best Business/Consumer Feature/Program for The Atlantic Monthly’s documentary series, “On the Frontlines.” Alongside Emily was her amazing co-host, NPR/The Atlantic’s national correspondent James Fallows, and the NY Times’ Joe Nocera, and of course the heart of the team, producers Bob Schapiro and Dovar Chen. The series beat out 1600 other entries and was nominated in 2 categories, Best Documentary and Business/Consumer Feature. Best of all, the awards were presented by Dr. Ruth and Rocco di Spirito. Can’t beat that! Congrats to all!
Just got word that Emily has been nominated for 2 Emmy® Awards for her work with The Atlantic’s On The Frontlines: Doing Business in China!!! The National Academy of Television Arts & Sciences – New York Chapter announced on Feb. 26 that the team was nominated in the Documentary and the Business/Consumer categories.

~Emily booked & shot an industrial with Sealed Air Corp (the makers of bubble wrap!). Covered by Jimmy Fallon, The Colbert Report, and the broadcast news networks, this was the company’s 50 Year Anniversary commemoration video and seen by over 17,000 employees nationwide.
